How Nicole Garton-Jones started their logo design journey
Elder Mediation BC
We are a brand new non-profit society created to train elder mediators and also promote the development of elder mediation generally.
Elder mediation is about helping families deal with the often difficult issues that can come up as a family member ages.
Depending on the situation, the older person, other family members, caregivers, and health professionals will meet together with a mediator to discuss the issues and develop potential solutions. The mediator is a neutral third party who ensures the discussion stays on track, all the issues are explored, and everyone has a chance to be heard.
The mediation process is not just about resolving conflicts, but developing conflict prevention strategies. It is also about maintaining and strengthening relationships critical to the well-being of an aging family member. The result is less stress and a better quality of life for everyone involved.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
older people, family members, lawyers, mediators, health professionals, hospitals, nursing homes, community care homes
we are an affiliated organization of this group http://www.eldermediation.ca/ so our logo would hopefully show some similarity to the existing logo
We are thinking of an old growth tree - which ties in British Columbia landscape and also the concept of an older, wise elder.
We need large font and bright colours that older people can see.
