How roughcountryseeds started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Rough Country Seeds
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We sell corn seed to farmers. It is mostly a male audience (majority of decision makers who actually buy may be 40+ in age), and the seeds were hybridized to withstand/survive in "rough" country situations.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?

I like how it has one distinct symbol (the crown) to go with the name. I like how it is a simple artistic creation, and not necessarily looking like a real life crown.
Once again, I like how there is one distinct image, plus the name of the business. I like how it can all be one color, and you can still see everything.
I like how this picture is mostly contained within a hexagon with the name clearly shown/highlighted.
I love that it is simple and not realistic looking (it makes me think creative). I like how it is just one image of an animal plus the name.
The reason I clicked this one is because I like how I can tell it is a squirrel, but it doesn't look like one I would actual find outside.
I chose this one because I love the simplicity. It makes me think of a seed company, but it isn't too busy.
It isn't necessarily the artwork on this one that I love. I chose it because I like how it is basically a mascot of the company plus the name of the company.
This is another example of me liking that there is one distinct image plus the name of the company.
Another example of seeing a mascot to go with the company name. I like the one distinct image, so that it can easily be identified through that one image.
I like this one because it is all enclosed and looks like a stamp almost. I like how it is all one color (or the absence of color), and I like how they show the name of the company as being very important within the whole logo.
Please do NOT do a picture of a barn and a grain bin or silo. It does not stand out to us as "rough country," but more like what any farmer would see in their back yard. We want creativity. We want to see an image of what you think describes ROUGH country (whether it is scenic or some animal or both), as well as the name of the company. If you are inspired to add in corn or a sprouting corn plant to the image, you can, but it is not a requirement.
