Our outstanding coaches are committed to helping everyone reach their fitness goals in an environment that is both supportive and competitive. Through short, intense workouts that vary daily, CrossFit Genesis helps people achieve fitness that will improves their everyday life and makes them capable of things they never thought possible. We combine gymnastics, olympic weightlifting, and advanced metabolic conditioning, into an endless variety of workouts. Our small-group sessions are positive, fast-paced, and fun.
Our target demographic ranges from police officers and firefighters to soccer moms and grandmothers, young, old and everywhere in between. They all want to get in the best shape of their lives and aren't afraid to work hard and learn new things to get there. The people who gravitate most naturally to our program are former athletes (high school or beyond) or people who already workout, but we cultivate the inner athlete in everyone and some of our most dedicated members have little/no prior athletic history.
We're looking for a logo that can be extended and leveraged to brand everything we do: website, marketing material, physical signage, apparel, documents, etc.
We're coaches, not artists, so we want your creativity and expertise! Our requirements are that the word "CrossFit" figure prominently in the design -- it's a brand name with growing recognition, so it must be easily legible when we put our logo on shirts and signs. Our workouts can be intimidating to people, so our logo shouldn't be -- no skulls or Affliction style designs please. We'd like a color design, but it must lend itself to black-and-white for things like document headers and simpler apparel designs.
Please don't give us a variation on a design that someone else has already submitted. The more we see, the better idea we'll have of the direction we'd like to go. Therefore, we promise the following:
1. We will be monitoring and updating the contest at a minimum of 2 times per day.
2. We will provide useful feedback on every entry that is submitted.
3. We will work with you to refine your design and answer all questions promptly.
4. We will pick a winner within 24 hours of the end of the contest.
File formats required: Layered .ai files (RGB and CMYK)
UPDATE: As we've progressed through the design process and seen some examples, we've added some requirements. Any symbol or icon that reflects the human form should be fairly abstract, such as the Olympic pictograms:
The style does not have to reflect any of these, however -- we'd just like them to be at least this abstract.
The position of human figures should ideally be deadlifting or squatting. Examples of these movements are:
We're also very open to symbols that are completely abstract or do not have a human form.
Please do NOT include barbells, dumbells, kettlebells, or any other piece of equipment. We do not feel these accurately reflect the breadth of our program.
