Legend! His first submission was a shocker, but he asked for feedback and kept coming back with better and better options. I have no hesitation recommending him and will be approaching him for the next design gig I have.

How James Gall started their logo design journey
Byron Bay Software
Byron Bay Software is just me at the moment.
I'm a software developer specialising in web and database applications (http://www.byronbaysoftware.com.au)
I’ve just moved back to Byron Bay after studying I.T. in Brisbane and then working the past 20 years in various places, notably Sydney, the Gold Coast and London.
I hope I can bring a high degree of professionalism to the local area, offering world class services to businesses in the region.
The two catch phrases I came up with were:
- Hand Crafted Code
- Holistic Web and Database Solutions
We live in a beautiful part of the world with amazing beaches backed by mountains and sub-tropical rainforest. I love this area, the surf, beaches, mountains and rainforest. I’ve included some links below to give you a feel for it:

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Businesses or people who need a custom built web or database system.
I like the Billabong logo (wave portion) as it's simple and clean (but please don’t let that bias your work!).
I'd consider using the letters BBS - Lighthouse/Mountains/Surf/Beach.
Typeface needs to be readable, nothing fancy.
The logo will primarily be for screen use.
- It must be very legible onscreen and still work at smaller sizes for business cards, letterhead and stationery.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
The favourite icon on my website is from the background of a photograph I took – available if required.
