I am a recovering financial crusader. When I first started I was impulsive and arrogant and a very pungent communicator. I hated annuities, whole life insurance, high fee products and thought everyone who didn't agree with me was "stupid". This viewpoint initially led to a very Type A client base and a residue of this still exists today (and I believe is a key ingredient in our success), but I am not near as obnoxious in my style and have a much different view of my trade today.
At my core, I am a lover of financial/economic history for its life lessons, a "want to be" college professor and finance geek, and addicted to the fix I get when I score a big trade for my clients (and myself) (2017 has been a great year). To sum it up, what defines this firm is my love for what I do for its own sake, money is just how I keep score. We work hard at this firm to understand the "WHY" in everything we do, nit just the "HOW". We are fundamental "purists" with cutting edge technology and tools.
Our brand needs to communicate this "love of the game", its history, philosophy, and the trusted partnership we bring to the table. When I think of what I want my business to look like from the outside, I think of Leonardo Da Vinci. A man of depth and understanding of the time's principles, but with ideas and understanding that reached far beyond his own time.
