How Rachel Eisenberg started their logo design journey
Need a logo for a new industrial tape company. Company sells professional grade tape and needs a solid clean logo to sell the product. This would be the logo to go on the product as well as on stationary, websites, etc.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want a logo that includes the words "Plyon" for a new industrial tape company. Our immediate need will be for the logo to represent the company on business cards, the website, the labels to go on the roles of tapes, all company stationary, etc. We are looking for something simple and professional that indicates a solid, stable, industrial company. The company roots are a spin-off from an existing industrial tape company that is partnering with a chinese tape company.
Looking for simple, solid, professional, industrial aimed logo.
The existing logo of the company we are spinning off can be seen at: http://www.plymouthrubber.com, it is the center "Plymouth" logo. We are not in love with this one but it gives a good idea of similar companies. The product is professional grade tape, both electical and vinyl. We are not against using the image of tape but it would have to be tastefully done, not cheesy. This business space is very old world, many companies are very tradtional so it can't be too web 2.0 looking, something that invokes a solid product. Also, it must be used on labels of tape as small as 2.5" diameter so it can't be too involved.
Colors: we like red, blue, black
Don't like: green, orange
We would also need the logo in a variety of formats for web and print purposes
Don't want anything cheesy. This company is also in the space and is a good example of what NOT to do: http://www.electrotape.com. Their logo is horrible. Nothing cute, nothing that would be on a "world's best dad" t-shirt.
