How Hdavis started their logo design journey
iGain (The logo should stand alone and but also work with a small.com as part of the logo)
iGain will be an online affiliate marketing company. We want the logo to be professional and modern and it has to represent trust. Advertisers and publisher who use iGain become our partners and we these so we want a logo that will be very appealing to everyone.
We think this is a great domain and we like the i with Gain. I want to send the message that when a person says or reads iGain or sees the logo they feel as if they will get something. I gain at iGain.
I want people to easily remember or recognize the logo.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The site will be for advertisers and publishers. This is a B2B site. However our target will be the smaller businesses and entrepreneurs.
We help businesses grow revenue. iGain is about making money but it is NOT a get rich type program.
iGain has to represent the following.
1. Ability to make money – affiliates will sign up at iGain to earn money and advertisers who use iGain will want grow revenue.
2. Honest – there is a lot of lack of trust in affiliate networks so our logo has to represent trust.
3. Professional – we have to portray a corporate/professional feeling. We can not have anything related to iGain feel light, whimsical or considered cute.
I am thinking of colors that represent the above attributes. My research shows Darker Green, Darker Blue and White. However I am open to consider other colors. I also like Blue and White, Silver, or Black or Green and White, Silver or Black
I like a darker green but not too dark. Too dark represents envy, too light represents nature – I would like to see a shade or green that represents money – but err on the darker side. The darker blue should be in the complement the darker green. White does not have to be in the logo but it needs to be the major element of the site. Less is going to be more in the iGain site design. I want to use a LOT of white space.
I also want to play on a "clear" theme. I want the logo to jump off a white background on a web page. I only want to see the logo on a pure white background. I want users to see the logo on a web page and want to touch it. I want them have to look at the logo twice and be blown away.
This will go on a site where less is more.
