Hosanna Lutheran Church & Little Palms School
Hosanna Lutheran Church and Little Palms School are two missions of the same ministry in Mesa, Arizona. Little Palms is a preschool growing into a grade school and currently uses colorful children's palm prints in its logo. Hosanna is a growing congregation of the LC-MS and uses palm leaves in its logo. We want to tie these two ministries together with one united logo for advertising and signage on the church itself. We are a Christian mission outreach seeking to draw people in to the Christian faith, celebrating the coming of the King (which is what the word Hosanna is all about) and celebrating our faith. Little Palms School is a major mission for us as we educate, care for, and nurture children in many ways.
People of all ages in the Mesa, Arizona area, Christians looking for a new church home, non-Chrisitans we are reaching out to and trying to draw in to the life and activities of the church and the Christian faith, and especially young families looking for Christian preschool and grade school services for their children. These people love to celebrate their Christian faith and this growing ministry.
We want to develop a logo that promotes both Hosanna Lutheran Church and Little Palms School united in one mission together as both are a part of the same church. We would like to see a Christian cross and perhaps a palm leaf incorporated in the design. The current logo for Little Palms School also used colorful hand palm prints of children as well. That's optional in this new combined logo but color and celebration is a great thing. The name "Hosanna" comes from a Judeo/Christian song of celebration when palm leaves were waved before the coming of the King, and ultimately, the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. We might like to have the initials "LC-MS" show up very subtley, could be small in the logo some place. But those initials are optional if they are more distracting than we'd like. Those initials show that we are a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The primary goal is a logo to comunicate unity in mission between church and school, and joyful celebration of our Christian faith.
