-"The Holland Society" should be given emphasis with "of New York" in smaller type font size.
- Somehow, we want to signify the Dutch contribution to our country's history, government, and culture, tolerance being a hall-mark of our originating country of the Netherlands / Holland, and the New York legislature (50% of Dutch descent) responsible, for our Constitution only being "signed off on" a century later, in 1776, by New York & Virginia, after a Bill of Rights had been written.
- My thoughts are that a dark, royal blue is a good color for the main, central background, and white or yellow, possibly even orange (re: the Dutch) be incorporated in the "Half Moon" replica or portion. "1609" or "1609-1675" be below or in the Half-Moon. The sky would be a lighter blue, with the boat rear, a rich dark, royal blue.
The pictures attached are the "Half Moon" Ship which we would like to try to be incorporated into the logo.
