M.O.V.E. (Manasquan Organization of Volunteer Efforts) is a cooperative body that is made up of representatives from local faith-based, non-profit, government, business and other organizations working together to provide long term recovery for individuals and families impacted by Super Storm Sandy.
M.O.V.E. will be assisting individual and families impacted by Sandy within the following 8 communities (Avon, Belmar, Brielle, Lake Como, Manasquan, Sea Girt, Spring Lake and Spring Lake Heights). All of those towns funnel into Manasquan High School, which is why it is it is Manasquan Organization of Volunteer Efforts.
Basically, it's community members helping community members. M.O.V.E. will support Sandy impacted members of the community by identifying their unmet needs (whatever FEMA and insurance does not cover) to help them get them get back into their homes that have been damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
The goods and services that M.O.V.E. will provide will range from counseling, financial assistance, case management, home repair, new home construction, acquiring new appliances/items for homes, etc. Repair/construction will be a big component of what M.O.V.E. will offer.
Ultimately, we are looking for a logo that reflects community, hope and unity. Since most of these towns are beach towns on the Jersey shore, it would be a bonus if that could be reflected (don't think MTV's Jersey Shore though).
