We have been working to source and compile an extensive range of high quality cutting tools covering many applications directly from manufactures overseas and now need an image to go with our new products. Previously we were a multi-brand reseller and have built a strong position in the maket as a reseller but now the time has come for us to push a brand centric image. Our brand "Gripp" is an acronym for the values which has led us here. It is what we have been offering our customers for years and is the reason we have succeeded thus far. It is:
G - Guaranteed reliability
R - Repeatibility
I - Innovation through solution
P - Precision
P - Performance
Our brand will be an international symbol of quality, reliability and service as we move into the international playing field. It will be simple easy to read and be memorable.
Under our brand "Gripp" we offer a number of product groups, e.g. Gripp Alimax, Gripp Advantage, and Gripp Peak etc. In total there are product groups using the same design with potential to extend the offering in the future.
We will be using the brand "Gripp" only on packaging stickers, however each item we produce in-house or purchase from a supplier needs to be laser etched with the appropriate logo design. Designers need to pay close consideration to this in terms of design complexity as the size of the image on some tools will be quite small and the logo must remain legible. We will also need appropriate files for etching machine software which i will provide. Below is the current full list of product group names:
Gripp - Greenline
Gripp - Whisper
Gripp - Advantage
Gripp - Alimax
Gripp - Peak
Gripp - Hydro
Gripp - Zero
Our staff moto is : "If it needs to cut Get a Gripp" although we do not want to use this in our brand logo, it, or something like it will be used at exhibitions on banners etc. So we are suggesting that the winner will recieve more work in the future for these purposes.
Tip: We DO NOT want to see any kind of saw blade or other cutting tool in the logo design as we feel it will put a limitation on our prospective market and present an image that is one dimensional, however a symbol of some type may encourage us to consider this type of logo design. In other cases we want our brand name to become the logo and to do all the talking.
In terms of font we want it to be modern and crisp, for the colour scheme we would prefer a bright fluorescent green, grey scale and black. A standard font or one which has been modified to make it completely original is acceptable.
I trust this is enough info to get started but I am at your disposal to answer any further questions.
