How yesmail started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Greenlight Credit Union
What’s your company slogan?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
It is a credit union that will bank deposits from marijuana related businesses--growers, distributors, advocacy groups, and--eventually when prohibition is lifted--from state authorized medical and recreational retail sellers. But the logo should be dignified and not a hippie's delight. This is a bank, not a 420 gathering behind the school.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Accounting & Financial
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
Rich blue and organic green with POSSIBLY a touch of a warm tone--red, orange, yellow--for livliness. BUT if the addition of a warm tone is too fussy or complicated, stick with blue and green.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The use of green is obvious here. Perhaps the title word GREENLIGHT is in green? Perhaps in order to suggest the cannabis connection a small green leaf can "dot" the "i" in "Greenlight?" These are suggestions from a non-designer, not to be constraints on the designer's imagination. But the overall look of the logo should be dignified, not hallucinogenic. Don't take the cannabis connection to an extreme. Be suggestive only. Be sophisticated.
