Friendbuy
Friendbuy is consumer site that focuses on making "what I've bought" social. Some other similar sites are http://www.thisnext.com and http://www.justbought.it (great design BTW) ... we're trying to build a brand that encompasses three elements: approachable, fun and colorful. Friendbuy should connect seamlessly into the Twitter, Facebook and Forusquare/Gowalla worlds.
The target audience of Friendbuy is heavy social networking users ... this product certainly skews younger than older. The average age of a Friendbuy customer is likely 30 years old. My guess is a large amount of women will use the site. We want the hyper connected, always on, live on the Web type of folks using the system.
We'd prefer the logo to be have a capitalized "F" and the rest lowercase (e.g. Friendbuy) ... If you must make the "B" in buy uppercase (e.g. FriendBuy) we will certainly look at it however it's by no way a prerequisite.
A few ideas that we are totally open to:
-some sort of graphical element to the logo
-text only logo
We want the logo to feel:
-colorful (be bold with unique colors)
-fun and whimsical
-readable (we can't stand logos that are difficult to read)
We've attached some fun logos we think fit the ethos of this company (Foursquare, Ad.ly, Boxee) ... You'll see that all these logos are clean, use color well and seem to have an element of "fun" ... knock yourself out. I can't wait to see what the talented designers on this service can produce. I commend all of you--I wish I could be half as creative as the worst designer in the marketplace. Best and show out customers some love.
