Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Improve existing Car and Van logos with font styles that convey trust and budget conscious.
We rent basic, used cars to budget-minded travelers, locals whose cars are down for repair and youth sports teams.
Our websites are everything, without them, we would starve. And while they are working just fine for now, we will soon be redoing our street signage and the logos that were originally thrown together won’t stand up to the next round of application. So the first part of this contest is designing logos that work well in the menu bar, but need to consider the ability to scale. We will be putting it on the employee uniforms and on the huge street sign out front. We want to convey two things with both logos: We rent basic vehicles (cars for the one logo, Vans for the other), not sports cars, nothing fancy. We rent to budget conscious, lower income customers. So although we are looking to convey a certain simple basic concept, it should look trustworthy and not comical. This is where the font choice is critical. We also do NOT want any Phoenix birds. The image should be of a basic car for the one and a basic van for the other. http://www.phoenixrentalcars.com http://www.vanrentalphoenix.com

We have two sister companies: one is the Car Rental company and the other is the Van and SUV company. We have logos for each that are very close to what we are going for, but we would like them to be refined, have the font styles be similar and set them up to coordinate when we put them on signage together. We are looking for each to have two layouts: one horizontal for website menu bars and such. The other vertical for signage. We want them to be good on tee-shirts as well as large signage.
