Soujiro did a fantastic job, coming up with heaps of options alongside some stiff competition. All of my (many) requests for changes were done promptly. Thankyou so much. I love my new design!
How Coley Andrews started their logo design journey
Pacific Lake Partners
Two partners. Both entrepreneurs. One 58 years old, from Texas, summers in New Hampshire on Lake Winnepesaukee. Other, 29 years old, from California, loves the Pacific Ocean. Both are private pilots and love flying. We are starting a completely new type of investment company that seeks to inspire entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams of building great businesses by buying and then running small companies versus starting new ones. This is about entrepreneurship, inspiring and mentoring people, building value in organizations, and doing business the American entrepreneurial way.
We are creating a completely new model of entrepreneurship and seek to inspire America's entrepreneurs to pursue a path to be a small business owner that they otherwise might never have considered.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
1) Entrepreneurs, usually males, in their late 20s and early 30s. Most have MBAs but are scrappy guys who give up high paying jobs to pursue their dreams of owning and building their own small business. Nobody likes to wear ties or suits. Everybody likes working with people from all walks of life to create real value in business. 2) Sellers of small companies. These are usually 1st or 2nd generation business owner/entrepreneurs in their late 40s, 50s, or 60s who are selling the family business. They want to sell to people who are going to build their business, not private equity firms that want to extract value from it. We will be one of many investors who will support the entrepreneurs in their effort to buy the business. So we want to look credible, professional, but also different and show we have a heart and are in business to build great businesses.
Clear, wholesome logo we can build a brand around. Can include 'Pacific Lake Partners' or just 'Pacific Lake'. 'PLP' is also an option but less appealing. We want a logo that is relatively clean and simple and draws the eye towards it. We want people to think professional but not anything like investment bankers, wall street, etc. The business is run by two entrepreneurs seeking to connect with other entrepreneurs, both young and old. We are to be partners with them in business building activities. We are not a financial firm, we are an entrepreneurial but professional company.
Colors and images reflecting 'Pacific' and 'Lake' welcome, but not mandatory. Free to be creative here.
