Grimm got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Driveability.ca - In dire need of an awesome logo!
Check out Grimm's Logo design contest…
Driveability.ca is a spin off of our core business. We are a manufacturer of automotive maintenance tools. Our goal is to provide easy to use, money saving, and environmentally friendly alternatives to shop technicians and automotive DIY'ers (Do It Yourself). Our tools focus on improving the performance of a vehicle. We focus on educating technicians on the proper chemical solutions and equipping them with the proper tools for each type of service. We are currently working on a separate site that showcases the tools we manufacture. The purpose of Driveability.ca is to act as a repository, or wiki of sorts where technicians and users can visit for instructions, manuals, product updates, and bulletins on the tools they have purchased from our parent company. So, the focus of this site is on the performance and maintenance of a vehicles's engine, and the way neglect hampers its efficiency. An example of issues we try and solve are; How to properly clean intake valves, fuel injectors and air intake systems. We DO NOT deal with parts, or repairs.
Logo types to explore
Our product in this case is Automotive Maintenance information. The key thing to remember is we are creating a site designed to help our users with the tools we manufacture. Some other points that might help with the design. We would like to see an image, or shape as opposed to a play on the letters. Another idea would be something with a vehicle in it? I've seen some logo's for detail shops done here, and like that style. I don't know if it could work for ours, but it's just a thought. Oh! One thing I do not want to see in the logo is a WRENCH! :) Of course feel free to submit away, as with other contests we have run here, you never know what to expect! A huge thanks in advance to everyone that invests their time on our logo. We will do our best to provide accurate feedback, as well as ratings to all our entries. We look forward to working with everyone and we wish you the best! Cheers, -Andy File types required: Adobe Illustrator CMYK, JPEG, PNG
