The design should convey a sense of ChemWriter being a quality product on technology's leading edge - something you'd be willing to pay more for. It should consist of a memorable graphic and one supporting piece of text, "ChemWriter" only. The text should be small and not compete for attention. The logo should be displayable as a graphic only, without the name "ChemWriter."
The logo will appear mainly on Web sites and in the software's "about" box. Sometimes, the graphic part of the logo will be used without the word "ChemWriter."
Colors, fonts, lines, images, and other design elements are yours to discover - be as bold and imaginative as you can.
Some ideas (that may or may not work well) might include: geometric shapes (hexagons, pentagons, and zigzags are especially common in chemical structures); pens, pencils, tablet computers, stencils, etc; fingers or hands; parts of chemical structures; variations on the letters "C" and "W".
We like logos that use curves.
We don't like logos with complex gradients, lens flares, or reflections.
Please, no stock images or vector art - the winner will own all rights to the entire design.
SVG is the required output format for the winning design.
Every logo submitted for this contest will receive a star rating and at least one specific item of feedback.
