We're an educated, quirky, and public family perplexed by a world that is changing at an increasingly rapid pace. Saelyn is our six year old sons name. We're going to sail around the world in search of the skills necessary for the children to thrive in an uncertain future. We're going to interview indigenous elders, scientists, laborers, public figures, and others about where the world is going and what skills children will need to learn to thrive in the future. The project entails the film, music CD, and a curriculum that will be designed/created for the youth to share practical skills. We will exaggerate our limited sailing, film making, and musical experience (we'll be recording our own music)...and we're determined to pull off something amazing. We feel anything is possible if one believes in a positive future and works hard.
Below you will find a rough overview of the film (TSM11), a sketched logo (Saelyn Metaphore Logo) that we liked due to a film projector with rolling film into a continent and representation of music....but no family! And we have a photo of us sailing that has a nice line to the sail (Sailin with Saelyn 022).
Adventure, Family, Comedy ...Conscious people interested in where the world is going.
We have already been to every continent and live athletic lifestyles, so the adventure crowd will enjoy our sailing, spearfishing, surfing, activities that documented around the globe. We are a family, bound to experience many trials and tribulations on the way. We will explore what our future generations need to know. We want to consciously include comedy to keep people light in the face of the state of our world.
We're going to write an original sound track, have amazing cinematography, and blow people's minds. We hope to make free thinkers with open minds laugh, cry, feel fear and hope.
We seek design ideas that inspire a sense of 'remembering' from the past and propelling forward into the future.
Check out the sketch we drew below (second attachment). We would like to include our project name SAELYN in the logo. We see a globe with sail lines over it with something that represents children or family. The sail lines can be abstract, curved, and larger than the world. But, we're open to other ideas. It might be nice to be able to see that it is the world, ie, some continents. We like curved lines as opposed to a "boxy" look. For color, perhaps turquoise blue, or green. Accents might include earth tones or brown purple. The final product should be in .jpeg, .psd., and CMYK for print and web-based marketing.
