Note Buying Profits
Web-based startup company in the financial services industry creating a number of consumer-oriented products to help "level the playing field" between institutional money managers and entrepreneurial investor.
San Francisco based, young, adventurous, idealistic, professional.
Working to bring "under the radar" investing information to the mainstream in order to create a new breed of savvy, independent investors.
Two sides of the Customer Avatar:
1. Doc Martens:
Entrepreneurial, urban, educated, individualistic, iconoclastic investor looking for an informational and strategic "edge" in order to create an income stream so he/she can achieve lifestyle freedom and financial independence.
2. The Suit:
Has a healthy dose of left-brain analytics, likes spreadsheets, is drawn to investing as a "game," is a little cautious about taking risks, likes to see proof that something works before trying it.
"Note Buying Profits" or "NoteBuyingProfits" is the brand (currently at http://www.notebuyingprofits.com).
New, young, hip logo (e.g. see the clean lines of shortsalesriches.com - this isn't ours so no knock-offs or exact replicas please!)
Financial in look and feel: blues are predominant, which we like, but we're open to your creativity here. (The red in shortsalesriches.com certainly has its appeal...)
Professional in heft, look, hue and feel (clean, bold lines)
Necessary to have an icon or symbol - should probably be to left of the font and roughly same height as font (don't emphasize the logo, emphasize the name and brand please)
Font should be strong, dark and on a white background.
IMPORTANT: a "full" version of the logo will be used to brand the overall website, blog, forum etc, but we also want a different version specifically for a "members only" area. Our initial idea was to have a handwritten-type font with the word "inside" placed over the words "note buying" or "notebuying" (capitalized or not at your discretion).
To sum up: create a full logo and also a variant that will brand a private members-only area.
Good luck!
