The design should be clean, modern, and communicate an upscale sophisticated feel. I would prefer that the logo NOT include any cameras or other literal "photography" elements. The logo should look like a high end consumer brand logo that could work in any industry. An example would be the logo for Peter Lik Photography.
I'd really prefer a san serif font. I am thinking along the lines of the fonts used for Luis Vitton, Manolo Blahnik, and Dolce and Gabbana logos. The font should communicate luxury, quality, boldness, and a modern aesthetic. I’d prefer all letters to be uppercase and I like the look of the words RISING and or WATERS being in a bolder/thicker and larger font than the word PHOTOGRAPHY.
I would like the logo to have a clean and distinctive geometric shape that could work well as a transparent watermark over an image. The shape should also work well as a stand alone logo with or without the full text of "Rising Waters Photography". I've uploaded an example of the Peter Lik Photography logo which has a stand alone shape along with it combined with the full text.
The watermark shape should be clean, simple, modern, distinctive, sharp, and work well without any color as a black and white logo or a transparent overlay on top of an image. The watermark should NOT be overly busy, cartoonish, child-like, or playful. I’d also prefer to NOT repeat the letters both in the watermark shape and in the lettering.
I would be open to including creative interpretations of water within the logo as long as it maintains all of the clean, modern, sophisticated, etc elements described above. I’d like you to think creatively about you could incorporate water into the logo. Linear waves are one obvious choice but water can take many different shapes such as ripples in a pond, water droplets on a window, rain pouring down from the sky, a river coursing through the land. Lots of different creative ways it could be interpreted. I am open to anything as long as it communicates quality, luxury, and the other aesthetics already described.
