HOURS LEFT ***As the this first round draws to a close - I have NOT determined all six that will go to the final round. CHALLENGE: Do something creative with the FONT and name ROCK. Throw me something other than a very basic font with a creative R or O. Make the name ROCK be the statement and eye catching!
Your brand and business:
We are a modern/Contemporary church. Our building is a 72,000 SF commercial building we converted for church use. We are all about reaching outward to impact our city in tangible ways, thus we need a logo that is non-religious in style that connects with the community in style more than a “church crowd.” We are FUN, creative, out of the box kind of church.
Project Goal: Come up with a new logo and icon to use for the next decade and give us a facelift as we celebrate our 15th anniversary.
Clean lines, block, simple, bold, modern. Not a fan of script, traditional serif kinds or types
Both men and women between the ages of 25 and 50. Family focus on those with kids and teenagers. Typical middle class. Business. More white collar than blue collar crowd.
Values to communicate with your design:
Warm, accepting, inclusive, home, everyone is welcome. I want the logo to also express excellence, stand out from the crowd, grabs attention, memorable.
I am open to an Abstract mark, Combination Mark, or potentially a Letter/Word mark. Designs I like are clean, bold, simple, crisp, geometric, and abstract.
More on the mature side of classy than –youthful or playful. More of a business look than a daycare vibe. Definitely NOT looking for religious kind or type logo or symbols
Complete branding for building signage, web site, marketing, social media, print material, window decals, etc… Need it to be a winning logo in black and white version as well as color.
I want “ROCK” to be the anchor word. “Family Church” smaller and less prominent. When people refer to our church/business they typically only use our first name and say, "I go to Rock."
We sit at the base of Pikes Peak and Rocky Mountains. We have used mountains in our previous logos as do many businesses, churches, etc. in the area. Open to a cool rock or mountain idea/icon but also open to standing out from the crowd and being unique with an abstract mountain/rock icon. OR potentially an icon that becomes our unique brand and isn't a mountain symbol.
Bold & Vibrant is key. Not a fan of muted washed out colors and designs. Colors that convey warmth. Blue has been an anchor color of our logos the past 14 years and I'm open to keeping that, but also open to new ideas.
