Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
It is a learning community consisting of Reform congregational rabbis. They tend to be isolated in their work, so the learning community gives them a place to connect, reflect, renew, grow professionally. Vayinafash is Hebrew for: Renew or Re-soul -- to breathe new life into.... In a more modern sense it refers to hitting the "pause button" and allowing oneself to be still. So, Vayinafash groups gives rabbis who have big work demands placed upon them a group of colleagues with whom they can go on retreats twice a year, learn together, laugh together, recharge, and be vulnerable (e.g., confide about challenges and celebrate successes).

Vayinafash groups are always groups of 8 rabbis who sit together regularly and are connected through a common purpose to renew, learn, support each other's professional and personal journeys. Please, no need for religious symbols (e.g., Star of David) in the logo. Originally, before we came to the name "Vayinafash" we informally called the group "rabbis in recliners drinking lattes."
