Queensland Positive People
Inclusive, Innovative HIV Services
Queensland Positive People (QPP) is a community based, not for profit, charitable organisation that provide a range of care and support services to people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Queensland. QPP is the lead agency for the State and are going through a period of growth and change which will support us to achieve goals set by the United Nations.
QPP works to reduce the stigma associated with HIV by raising awareness that HIV is different now. Through education, we can highlight that treatment advances have come so far that people living with HIV can now live long and healthy lives. Reducing stigma will also work to reduce fears of a diagnosis and increase the likelihood of people testing for HIV and therefore receiving an earlier diagnosis, which ensures people can access treatment and improve their long term health outcomes.
Programs offered by QPP are: HIV testing, peer support for newly diagnosed, case management to support the social determinants of health including support for people experiencing discrimination.
Our Vision
QPP seeks to create a safe supportive environment where people living with HIV (PLHIV) are well informed, and empowered to lead optimistic, healthy lives free from stigma and discrimination, and have the capacity to determine our futures.
Our Mission
QPP is dedicated to providing access to a comprehensive range of services that promote the health and well-being of PLHIV in Queensland, delivered in accordance with internationally recognised best practice.
We have previously released film campaigns offering our community's perspective of living with HIV. Please visit http://www.qpp.net.au/get-talking to view this videos.
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Greens: Growth, harmony and success.
Purples: Imagination, spirituality, royalty and luxury.
- We are a community organisation and would like the logo to have a community feel about it.
- As an organisation, we aim to remove the negative connotations associated with HIV and would like a logo that represents people living with HIV in Australia in 2016.
- No red ribbons
- No rainbow colours
- No hearts
- Not attached to any particular shades of green or purple, but we would like a combination. Green and purple are our current colours and it is unique to our sector.
- Would like to have an all white version and one with a transparent background to enable us to use it on many different resources.
- At certain times, we may not want to use the slogan or we may alter the text instead of the slogan.
- No one (staff) are able to interpret or even likes the current logo, we are after a refreshing change.
- Please note our website and resources will be redesigned to compliment the new logo design so please don't let our current website influence your creativity.
