IT Questions (ITQuestions.com)
We are about to launch an exciting new site called IT Questions. IT Questions is built on a powerful new platform that makes it easy for people to ask or answer questions about Information Technology (IT) and to find information about IT topics. The site will have a global audience and will gain a large following quickly because of its strong association with our current high-volume traffic sites that are also focused on technology. We are geeks at heart, but we also care about our appearance and we want the logo to project a geeky-cool image.
IT Questions’ members will be made up of Information Technology (IT) professionals and IT users who may fall into one of the following groups:
+ IT Professionals in small, medium and large companies
+ Small business owners with no IT staff, but lots of IT questions!
+ Students studying IT
+ Technology professionals who are thinking of switching to IT careers
+ IT consultants
+ IT vendors
+ Executives who have to make choices about IT products or services
The *ideal* logo would:
+ Be clean, uncluttered and instantly recognizable - think Apple, Adobe, Puma, Adidas and Audi.
+ Look good in monotone as well as full color.
+ Follow the philosophy of ‘less is more’.
+ Visually indicate the fact that this is a site that revolves around questions and answers about Information Technology, even if the indication is subtle.
The color version of the logo should contain 4 colors, maximum, including black and white, and should appeal to a primarily male audience that is technical in nature.
Sans serif fonts are generally preferred, but a serif font that fits the overall feel of the site would be considered.
Keywords to keep in mind:
Information technology, question and answer, professional, technology, contemporary, geeky, cool.
The logo should look perfect in the space where the logo on this site is located (top left-hand corner)
We will require an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file.
Here are some example logos that we find attractive. We like them because they are clean and minimalist. These examples should give you an idea of what we expect from a design.
