tim8q got their new logo design by running a design contest:
design an amazing logo for used products platform level seven
Check out tim8q's Logo design contest…
level seven is a platform for used products in holland people come to level seven to buy retro video games, to sell their old comic books, to lease a used pram, to send their smartphone for repair, or to chat with others about fixing their coffee maker the level seven community puts products on a pedestal. we work together to refurbish, repair, repurpose, share or otherwise get the most out of the lifespan of our products. why? because it's more sustainable, because it makes more financial sense, but mostly because new isn't always better. quality used products have so much more character than new throwaway consumables. we would like the brand level seven to be associated with values such as: personal, informal, playful, sustainable, and community.
why the name level seven? we started out selling second hand video games and consoles, and level seven is a play on the game Super Mario Bros on the NES. That game had eight levels, of which the last level was the hardest. So in level seven you had to get all the power-ups and items so that you'd be all refurbished and ready for the last level. We are level seven for used products. although the name is a connection to our humble beginnings in video gaming, we don't want any visual links to gaming in the logo - as the future platform will encompass much more than gaming colors we've been using #86c449 and #454545 on our first website. you are free to use those colors, but we're also open for other suggestions. casing please use only lower case letters type of logo we would like the letters to be the main eye catcher in the logo. ideally there is some little element in the logo that stands out as uniquely ours, which we can use throughout the entire website and all visual communications.
