A winner was selected from 156 designs submitted by 31 freelance designers.
Vera Iconica Design
Vera Iconica is the Latin phrase meaning "true image". Vera Iconica Design is the umbrella over several specialized branches that are ready to emerge, including Vera Iconica Architecture, Vera Iconica Furniture, and Vera Iconica Jewelry.
The branches of the design firm pursue small scale architecture projects as well as boutique furniture and jewelry lines. Despite the array of scales and varying artifact mediums, the underlying characteristics that make each project a unique Vera Iconica Design include intimately detailed connections, exposing the structural elements, and highlighting characteristics of natural materials. The design philosophy inherently demands sensitivity to context and sustainable, cradle-to-grave practices.
Our designers are well trained and traveled, intently accumulating knowledge of traditions and craftsmanship from over 40 countries. We take pride in working with our clients to select from this foundation an appropriate, sophisticated design solution that utilizes natural materials.
High end, luxury brand for consumers with discriminating tastes.
Architectural clients include private individuals for residential projects (typical first impressions are websites or business cards = strong branding!), as well as commercial entities such as lodges, spas, cafes, law firms, design offices etc.
Finally, individuals will be looking at Vera Iconica furniture and jewelry in boutique style stores. Clients and customers need to recognize a symbol/brand/logo for structural quality, intimate detailing, and natural materials.
Design a logo/brand that includes the company's name, "Vera Iconica Design".
Our idea is that the "Vera Iconica" portion along with some branding image/logo would remain consistent, while the "Design" could be interchangeable with the branch specific words "Architecture", "Furniture", "Jewelry", or other future branches. Consequently, the font of the word "Design" shall be disclosed upon award of the prize in order for future in-house ability to use the Vera Iconica logo and "Vera Iconica" text in conjunction with the specific branch name.
Wood, stone, steel, grass/fiber are reoccurring themes in our work.

Our Take: Logo that stands on its own makes us think of furniture that can stand on its own. Professional. We would like our logo to have a little more movement/asymmetry and a softer feel.
