I am a 53 year old registered dietitian who began sewing in high school. I love fabric, colors, memories, and creativity. My mother is a potter and my father is an attorney and hobbies as a photographer. I always give a hand made gift - can't image just buying something that requires no effort - seems so meaningless. Over the years, my quilting has evolved to be more about the memories - such as those found in a t-shirt quilt and a photo memory quilt. The name of my company, A Quilted Jewel comes in part from my name, Julie. Some have called me Jule or Jules as a nickname. And also to describe the quilt as a jewel or treasure. I'm a single parent of a teenager daughter - not sure if that is important to you but thought I'd mention it. The t-shirt thing started as a result of having many t-shirts from my running days and then from my daughter's volleyball tournaments.

Although I could be commissioned to make any kind of quilt, the likely quilt would be a t-shirt quilt or photo memory quilt as those are personal to each person who commissions my work.
More specifically, my target audience - for t-shirt quilts might be: sports enthusiasts, high school graduates, sorority or fraternity students, runners, etc.
The target for the photo memory quilts might be: wedding, graduation, new baby, bereavement, anniversary, birthday, sports event, etc.
There are many quilters who make both of these items across the country so I am hoping to have a great logo and website that will set me apart from the rest. I find a lot of the others I see online to be less than professional in their presentation - sort of too "crafty" in their appearance.
I love jeweled tones and hearts.
I like the slogan, "Wrap Someone's Heart In A Quilt".
Simple, clean, rich, professional, not too cutesy.
