Who are you known as?
Big Medicine Ranch
What’s your company slogan?
I Grow Therefore I Am
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a vegetable & allium farm that grows and sells to the local Northern Michigan community, Farm-to-table restaurants and at farmers markets. The name "Beg Medicine" comes from integrating food as every day medicine for greater health and well being. We are not a cattle ranch and want to stay away from the "ranch" and "pork & beans" feel.
Our farm is on track to have a USDA Organic certification by July 2015.
We specialize in heirloom and heritage varieties, there are no GMO seeds on our farm.
Our target audience knows the benefits of eating fresh, organic, non-gmo food. They may pay more for this product over conventional and mass produced produce. More importantly though, is the quality and taste of our vegetables. People see and taste the difference of our produce and keep coming back for more.
Some of the produce we are known for are:
14 Varieties of Heirloom Garlic (one won 2nd place in garlic contest judged by local chefs), Heirloom Tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, fingerling potatoes, onions, sugar snap & shelling peas, salad greens, culinary herbs, kale, carrots, beets, peppers, etc.
We plan to expand sales through Facebook and a Website which are both under construction.

Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like this logo to have a vintage, high end, yet simple feel. The logo should be easily made into a 1/Color version that we can use as a vector file for making ink stamps to brand paper bags. We will also need a logo that will work to embroid or silkscreen shirts.
The earthy purple, orange and green colors in the upper right corner of the "harvest fest" flyer interest us. We are open to other colors as well.
We really like the woodcut illustration look as well.
Images below (added today 1/9) are to help give a feel of the farm. Some photos of the large wooden barn, garlic scapes growing, garlic, produce on tables. Hope it helps?!?
