We aim to provide unmanned aerial services to many different industries and the public, by way of digital camera's connected to remote control multicopters. Early stages will be targeted at various events like weddings, car show/promotions, sports, etc. Future targets include aerial surveying, building inspections, building site inspections/progress reports, various aerial thermal imaging works.
Logo types to explore
I've put my current idea together slowly over the last 2 weeks, and changed it a couple times. This is the general idea I had for my logo, but I'm definitely open to suggestions and others ideas. To explain the sample logo attached: I liked the idea of incorporating the 'O' in Cycopter into a centre feature. I went with Century Gothic font, since the characters are generally round, which suited this instance where I used a round eye. Also interested in say a camera aperture symbol. The business will be in unmanned aerial media - aka drones, multicopters, etc - fitted with an DSLR camera for photo and video. I picked the name from what you see in the sky when flying an aerial setup like this - an DSLR camera, with a large lens hanging from the drone. This got me thinking of a cyclops with it's one eye. Copter was picked for what the equipment is - a RC helicopter or multicopter. To help with my idea, I've done a rough copy and paste of stock art demo pics from Shutterstock.com. I like the color blue for the company mascot. I've also read that first impressions of the color can lead to feelings of Trust, Knowledge, Loyalty, Long-Term relationship, etc. With the industry I'm entering, I think that 'feeling' may be important. The futuristic/robotic eye stood out to me more than a biological eye, but didn't experiment with the biological either. I do prefer solid colors and symbols over highly detailed and shaded. The multicopter above is what I would call alright... and closest representation to what I 'think' I like. That is a basic 2D side on view, with the multicopter attached to the eye (carrying it). Design is not my field of expertise... and what I think may be good, is probably rubbish compared to the work of professionals. Looking forward to seeing what come's back. Thanks, Rhys
