Shelter House
...changing lives
Shelter House’s mission is to provide crisis intervention, safe housing and supportive services to promote self-sufficiency for homeless families as well as victims of domestic violence in Fairfax County, Virginia, USA.
Shelter House programs have a three-fold purpose:
To provide a secure, structured, safe environment where families can regain a sense of stability and perspective after being homeless;
To provide families with supportive services, which enhance the individual’s employment and housing status, educational level, medical care, and personal growth; and
To promote healthy, stable, families who are connected to a network of community supporters and opportunities.
Our target audience would be resources in Fairfax County, including grants, individual donors, company sponsors, and volunteers.
In addition, we would like our logo to communicate more of our entire scope of services vs. what we are not, which is an actual shelter for one night.
The current logo attached with the Shelter House design is too much like a cartoon. We just want to refresh it keeping the following elements, but updating them and making them look more professional: the house, the heart, the words "Shelter House." Keywords that might be added to the new logo are: Home. Hope. Community. Help for Today...Hope for Tomorrow.
The attached "31" logo is a sample of an idea we had making the house our keywords and the heart smaller in the middle
