About us
We are an academic laboratory at the University of Massachusetts. We do research on diseases transmitted by ticks and mosquitoes. In particular, we study the genetics of Lyme disease and human malaria. Our work involved field and cutting-edge laboratory work studying vectors and microbial pathogens.

This will be used primarily on our web site and is meant to convey a message that we do top-notch, high tech research on fundamental problems of deadly infectious diseases. Persons visiting that web site would include: 1) people who have themselves (or loved ones) exposed to Lyme disease and are looking for info.
