paul.vw got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create Logo for Scientists and Economists Engaged in Political Advocacy
Check out paul.vw's Logo design contest…
Our group of world-leading economists and scientists advise governments and the private sector on how to address risks to food, energy, environment and water resources. Our work with decision-makers prevents and mitigates key threats to livelihoods across the world, such as food price spikes, energy and water shortages, and war and conflict. Our main target audience for this logo is financial donors, government organisations and business groups whom must understand that we are a serious and experienced group of experts. Ideas or emotions that we would want the logo to project include: "Trust", "Expert", "Strong", "Knowledge", "Power".
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication. Let designers make suggestions:

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
paul.vw collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
