‘Uberize’ cloud resources by creating a secure blockchain-enabled global marketplace for cloud storage, compute, and services, targeted to enterprise-class customers - the GALAXA Marketplace.
Stability, growth, global citizenship, trust, and transparency are the core values for the GALAXA Marketplace. These values will guide the decisions of the Advisory Board and the Foundation Board and steer the actions of all services providers and users of the marketplace.
This paper describes the GALAXA Marketplace developed by Leonovus Inc. GALAXA is a global cloud storage and compute marketplace with an associated blockchain payment system for service providers, developers, and consumers. When we talk about ‘the cloud’ we mean Infrastructure-as-a-Service (“IaaS”) as seen in many offerings from major Cloud Service Providers (“CSPs”) such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure. The GALAXA token ("GAAX") is the cryptocurrency for counting, auditing, and payment transactions in the Marketplace.
The marketplace is based on a global IaaS network of distributed storage and distributed compute resources supplied by corporations and data centres, accessed by open API’s on which any developer can build applications for sale to the enterprise market. A metaphor for GALAXA is a global IaaS app store. The Marketplace uses distributed storage and distributed compute technology developed over the last eight years by Leonovus Inc. Unlike many ICO’s, GALAXA is far more than a whitepaper. Much of the core distributed storage and compute technology that is the foundation of GALAXA is developed and deployed by Leonovus for its enterprise customers. Leonovus will provide to GALAXA, at no cost, a perpetual license for all its related patents.
The GALAXA Marketplace presents a novel approach to addressing enterprise cloud storage and compute problems. The focus of most blockchain projects to date has been on individual consumers. GALAXA addresses the unique challenges faced by enterprises and governments that want to adopt cloud and blockchain technology but are struggling to understand their effectiveness, efficiencies, and data security.
Specifically, GALAXA is designed for enterprise organizations to use blockchain-enabled cloud services for their IT needs, on an efficient, highly responsive, permissioned, secure, and auditable marketplace. Moreover, the enterprise can potentially monetize their own idle storage and compute resources in the GALAXA Marketplace.
