Cleapath Church Communications got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create an amazing new logo for a growing church
Check out Cleapath Church Communications's Logo design contest…
We are a larger California based church that would like a logo that targets people in their early twenties to late thirties. So we are not looking for something that hits the typical older church crowd but something fresh and modern. Please include a very brief explanation of your logo when you submit (mean, symbolism..) *Very important additional info below
Imagery: We are open to your (the designer) creativity on this but we are looking for a MODERN, CLEAN, SIMPLE logo. ONE OPTION we are interested in a modern, clean looking cross. It CAN be integrated into the name of the church, another image (like "C" or something else entirely) BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE. We are also open to you, the designer's, creative ideas. So don't feel like you have to do a cross. For instance, we really like the logo attached with the C and the leaf together. The logo CAN (but doesn't have to) demonstrate motion, a cycle of something moving in and out. The files we attached are just logos most of the team liked and the type of feel we're going for. Title/Font: We are leaning toward San Sarif but we are open to a well done combo of San Sarif and Sarif. We are open to how you arrange the words "Christ Community Church" but do like one's that either say "Christ Community" with "Church" smaller and under it OR all three words stacked on top of one another. Do NOT: Do NOT use any version of THREE C's together in the logo Do NOT use the image of a tree Do NOT do a fancy logo that makes us look like a "high" or "liturgical" church. Do NOT do something cheesy or super "church-y" - we want clear, modern, simple.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at NOK 2,599.

And then… they selected a winner!
retno.su met the challenging task of designing a very simple icon. We received over 250 entries! So you can imagine the level of originality, elegance, and overall creativity went into her winning design. Retno.su was wonderfully professional. She provided substantial revisions on her designs, and once awarded, provided the final files lightning quick. I would highly recommend her for future work.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
