reneegroff got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Cool logo and brand design for church discipleship training program
Check out reneegroff's Logo design contest…
This logo is for a discipleship training school of a contemporary local church. It is a challenging program, thus the 'intensive' part of the name.

Style Guide Attached.
Our training program has multiple elements and the synergy of each element is what makes the deep impact on the students’ lives. I would like that synergy captured in the logo. We welcome classic Christian imagery like crosses, fire, and even lightning (not classic, but I like it). :-) We are really not limited by any of those. Arrows, circles, ANYTHING that you can use to communicated synergy. I am attaching our current church brand guide. Try to use a color or colors that do not clash with the current set or feel free to use one of these colors. The green is our primary color so I recommend choosing something other than that so the logo you are creating stands out in our promotional material. As far as font choices go, we are wide open. Do not be confined to the guide fonts. --- UPDATE 10.01.2020 Hi Everyone! I know creating designs can be hard work. I am not diminishing the work you have already done, but I want you to refer back to the design brief. We were thoughtful in what we selected. First, please no more crosses. We love the message of cross as a church, but we would like a creative emblem for our program that will attract anyone from 18-50 years old. So I would choose the center of that range as your target audience. Second, please make sure you are putting the "Mature, Sophisticated, Luxurious" components into your design. Most of the designs feel more youthful and less mature in their appearance. Imagine you were designing an emblem for an expensive restaurant or law firm to get your mind going the right direction, then "Christianize" it. :-) Fire, lightning, spheres, arrows, doves not made cartoonish, are all good ideas. Jesus is referred to as the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah." So you could include a lion in the emblem. Anyway, I am trying to give you design fuel for your fire. Finally, please move toward a one color design. This will get used a lot of different ways and it needs to easily be made white, grey, etc. beyond the actual color we go with. Thanks again for all your diligent work. We are working on extending the contest a couple of more days to give you more time refine your design.
