A great process to find our business a new logo. We were surprised at the quality and quantity of responses we received and the designer we selected, quad-a, did a great job of making the final changes and amendments to the design.
This has been a simple process but does require a degree of input and feedback for the designers. Without us putting in some effort I do not believe we would have got the quality of output out and it is only fair to them to let them know what you think of their designs. .
In the last stages with the designer though it would have been good to able to amend/annotate his pdf drawings and send them back to him. It would have saved a lot of words and I was fortunate in that he understood where we were going!
How thecwb started their logo design journey
I'm a Director of a new company and we need a business logo created. I have run competitions before when this was actually part of sitepoint and the results have always been brilliant.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what is created since the other contests on here look pretty amazing.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Wired IDS is a web design company. The IDS stands for "internet design soloutions".
The logo should include a symbol (such as Apple's logo - maybe 3D?) and incorporate the text "Wired IDS" and possibly "Internet Design Soloutions" below.
Colors: Blue, Charcoal and White (how I am open to any creative ideas!)
Format: .psd format (for final paid item) and created on a transparent background so PNG's can be made and will nicely overlay a fixed background. Vectors would be nice, but not required.
Size: Should really scale nicely (if not using vectors). - Standard logo size, nothing fixed.
This logo will be placed on headed paper and business cards and possibly the website when it gets developed.
