Agilys (http://www.agilys.com) is a start-up focusing on “developing smart apps for smart shoppers”.
This logo-design entails a new exciting project: SQUIRI. It is about creating an app through which consumers can access detailed product information for every product sold in retail in Belgium/Europe, food and non-food.
As consumers increasingly want to stay informed on what they buy, not only regarding price, but also in terms of more detailed info as health & environmental info, we aim to be the “Shazam of distribution”, somewhere between Shopsavvy and Good Guide.
The brand name of our product is “SQUIRI”, in reference to a squirrel, a nice and fun animal that everyone likes, who is shopping around and stockpiling food. Additionally, Squiri refers to “query”, as consumers are searching for info. Finally, a squirrel has a “long tail”, referring to Amazon’s concept (“access to endless info via your smartphone”).
Our end-users are individual consumers in Belgium/Europe. Our clients are however companies, as the product is proposed for free to consumers.
This mission entails the definition of a logo and an iPhone icon for our product.
The logo must fit the following attributes of brand image:
A few ideas/comments:
(1) We love the Twitter logo; i.e. white shape on coloured background = simple, visible & catchy; and the bird has a personality of its own, and would love a Twitter-like logo/icon for Squiri
(2) A priori, we do not like the “traditional” representation of a squirrel, i.e. on the side with long tail; not original enough and to static. I attached some photos that looked inspiring. You might have other ideas.
(3) We love bright colors, like blue, red and green. We would love to see your designs in these colors.
(4) Can you try to use one of these images: shopping bag, squirrel and/or acorn or caddie?!
Top contestants will receive additional feedback and will have a chance to correct the design. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
