Brian Ash got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Need A Clever and Creative Attorney Logo

Attorney & Law
The Licata Bankruptcy Firm believes that limiting our practice to bankruptcy allows us to better serve our clients. Preparing your case in person eliminates the stress of filling out forms and increases the accuracy of your paperwork. Our Time Saving Filing Process can have your case filed within hours. Personalized preparation of your case and same day filing is perfect for stopping foreclosures, garnishments and pending lawsuits filed by creditors.
Other color requirements
We're leaning towards a dark navy blue for their primary color and a gray/silver for their secondary color.
Thanks for participating in our contest. Please read all of these updated instructions carefully. Our clients weren't happy with the original round of entries, so we have updated our Brief, given more direction on what we are looking for and changed this into a blind contest. We've used 99 Designs for several of our clients. We like getting original ideas from multiple designers. Point #1 - Please be creative and original. Don't just copy the design of their existing logo. We think a great logo consists of two parts: the icon and the font and lettering. For our icon, we like it to be able to stand alone to represent the brand. It usually needs to be round or square to be used as a favicon or profile picture. We like clever icons that aren't literal, but imply something associated with the brand. We may ask for a variation of this logo that uses the words Licata Law Firm instead of Licata Bankruptcy Firm for times when our clients need more discretion. So the icon can't be tied too much to bankruptcy. We like a clean, flat and simple logo design. Point #2 - We want a clever and creative icon with a clean, simple and flat design. We don't want the icon to be based on the letters in their name like their current icon. Our new icon doesn't necessarily need to be related to the legal field. Just something that invokes trust, expertise, protection and getting a fresh start. We're thinking some along the lines of a shield or a lighthouse that implies protection from creditors or something else like a sunrise that symbolizes getting a fresh start. But we don't want something too generic like a column or a gavel that just implies the legal field in general. We don't know exactly what we want and we'd like you to surprise us with your creativity. But we'll know what we like when we see it. Point #3 - We want fonts for our lettering that are clean and easy to read. We prefer a Sans Serif font. Licata should NOT be the primary word that is emphasized. While Marc Licata is the owner, he also has other attorneys working in his office. So the words need to all have the same amount of emphasis or if one word has to be more prominent, then it needs to be Bankruptcy rather than Licata. Point #4 - Our existing logo is black and white. For our new logo, we want something in two colors. A primary color and a secondary color that we can use for our color scheme when we redesign our website. We're thinking a deep royal blue for the primary color and a gray/silver for the secondary color. Point #5 - The logo needs to be able to work in different ways: - It needs to be able to be square (with the icon on top) or rectangular (with the icon on the side). - It needs to look good as a full color over a white background or as a one color logo. Here's our current website: https://springfieldmobankruptcy.com We're excited to see what you come up with. We admire the creativity of the designers and always enjoy this process.
