This was a great design contest and our ownership group is very pleased with the outcome. house4design worked extremely hard designing a variety of logos for us and definitely earned this win.
How expatdoctormom started their logo design journey
I am launching a website which will represent all the things that make me who I am: an expatriate (American living abroad), a Doctor and a mom. The purpose will be to provide cutting edge healthcare information, fun (in the form of travel, fashion and beauty and a sense of community for expatriates, moms or dads and anyone interested in healthcare and wellness. I am doing this to create more flexibility in my life by making myself mostly virtual along with reaching a far greater number of patients than I ever can in a day in the office. A little about me: I am well respected in my field, and well liked from the office staff, to my colleagues and to my patients. I believe in doing everything with integrity. My fashion sense is classic but stylish with an edge. This should be very easy to design as I have a concept and a fairly precise picture in my mind with room for creative interpretation. I will try to review designs and give feedback at a minimum every 24 hours (barring any unforseen emergencies!)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
1) 18 years of age to indefinite, to include moms or dads, expatriates (those living outside of their home countries) and anyone interested in the following: healthcare, wellness, travel, fashion, and beauty.
1) Logo and favicon needed. Both in EPS (vector) and JPG format
The picture I have in my head is a woman, pushing a baby stroller. There would either be an airplane flying overhead or the woman would have one hand on a globe as if she is twirling it to represent the travel/expat portion. I have distinct details I would like included. The woman should be drawn in a classy style from the 1950's/60's (think Jackie O) with a blonde flip hairstyle. She can be a bit whimsical but not a caricature. She can be in a suit or in a button front shirt with cropped pants (think Audrey Hepburn) or anything you deem classy. She could be wearing either leopard print pumps or kitten heels as a suggestion. There should be a stethoscope hanging around the woman's neck. Earpieces behind the neck with the remainder flying out to the side or straight down. Baby should be smiling (lol), no pacifier. The stroller should be drawn in the bassinet style. Include the words: Expat Doctor Mom in the logo above, below or to the right. For colors, I am thinking a muted purple and cream or a muted red and cream with whatever other colors are needed. Or you can surprise me with a color scheme you think is classy and fashionable.
Favicon: make it smaller, picture only.
