My name is Adam Fischer and I'm the owner of a creative media company that mainly does video work, but we also do design. This client is a church is Phoenix. The church itself is pretty hip with most members under 50. They have a logo, but they have no brand identity. The logo is supposed to be the "North" symbol you see on most maps but with a P instead of an N. Their website is http://www.parkwaychristianchurch.com if you want to see an example. I can provide a sample for use in the design.
Their ideas of a brand are: Edgy, raw and authentic. They don't want to get super trendy but they do want to live out on the edge a little bit. They have several ministries, like childrens, missions, women's, etc. and we want to be able to graphically tie everything together.
A good example of something they like is the "element" style logos that Adobe uses with those colored two letter icons. They need something like that which has a clear brand that can be applied to several different ministries.
So this is sort of a logo design project, but you may end up using the existing logo and changing it or adding to it or adapting elements that can be used with it. The important thing is coming up with a branding campaign that says, Edgy, raw, and authentic.
