How Sarah Lewis started their logo design journey
Metamorph Events is a 501(c)(3) organization that produces athletic events to help motive and transform participants by helping them push beyond who they are and help others through fundraising at the same time.
We are a group of friends who have all had our lives transformed by becoming active and realizing the benefits of an active lifestyle. We want to share this and help others at the same time, so we formed a non-profit for this purpose.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target participant is people who are not satisfied with who they are and want to become more, but aren't sure how to do that.
Lisa is an active women who is approaching retirement age and is willing to experiment with many different hobbies and decided to take on biking as one of them. She wanted an adventure and signed up for our tour. Lisa is not a serious cyclist, but she loves being social and pushing her limits at the same time.
Abe is a truck driver with a large family (wife +5 children). As is typical for many people in his position, his weight is higher than he would like and his activity level is lower. He signed up for one of our tours, followed the training plan and loved it.
We want to appeal to people like Lisa and Abe. We want to communicate to them that they can step out and take the initiative to make a positive change.
We want to send a message that our tours are active, challenging, and achievable. You don't have to be an elite racer to get out on your bike and succeed at an ambitious challenge.
Our events are currently all cycling events, but in the future we may produce other types, so we don't necessarily want the logo to be to cyclo-centric.
We realize that the name and concept naturally make many people think of a butterfly. We're not necessarily opposed to a butterfly, but it can't be "girly" due to our diverse audience and our focus on strength.
