Botanical Skin Care
Cosmetics & Beauty
High quality, all natural, plant-based anti-aging skin care products. Target audience is anyone looking to preserve their youth and reduce signs of aging in a natural way. I also want the overall logo to "feel" Chinese/Japanese in nature.
The image that I have attached is very very close to what I want. It is something that my brother and I created while playing around with some fake plum blossom flowers we bought from the store (see attached image). So if you look closely at the picture, you will notice there are little plastic nodes on the branches, and white little plastic wraps at the base of each flower, obviously those are fake and I don't want those in the finished product. In terms of font, I really like Copperplate, all Caps, non Bold. Feel free to mess around with other similar variations, but out of all the fonts I looked at, I like the strong, modern look and feel of Copperplate. In terms of sizing, looking at the picture that I attached again, the font size would need to be increased so that the plum blossoms are not so overpowering. Also, would love to see TOMKO closer to the plum blossoms, almost sitting right on top of the branch, instead of having so much space between them. In terms of the flowers themselves. I like realistic looking, beautiful flowers. If you Google search plum blossom or cherry blossom logos and designs online, you will see a lot of fake looking plum blossoms, that represent the plum blossom, but that look obviously fake. I like realistic looking flowers. Again, overall feel, is natural, beauty, antiaging, Chinese/Japanese influence. Modern and luxurious. I chose plum blossoms because my family is from China/Taiwan, and we have close family ties to Japan. The plum blossom is the national flower of China/Taiwan. The cherry blossom is the national flower of Japan. For my anti-aging skin care line, it also made sense. As the plum blossom is beloved for blooming most vibrantly amidst the winter snow and cold, symbolizing perseverance and hope, as well as beauty and purity. Now the tricky part is, I would like several variations of the same logo. This is my first time creating a contest using 99Designs, so not exactly sure how this would work. But if you look at the attached picture of the sticky note that I included. I will eventually need 5 versions of the logo. #2 is basically the picture that I have attached #1 would also have "BOTANICAL SKIN CARE" written below the plum blossoms in smaller font, either on a single row below, or perhaps two rows like I drew on my sticky note (also Copperplate or similar font), #3 would be just the words, no flowers. Sort of like if you go to "mariobadescu.com" and see their logo with "Mario Badescu, SkinCare, Est 1967" in the top left corner of their website, although mine would just be "TOMKO, BOTANICAL, SKIN CARE" Tomko being larger, Botanical Skin Care being slightly smaller font. #4 would just be TOMKO, in the Copperplate (or similar) font #5 would just be kind of a snapshot of the end of a plum blossom branch, something smaller and circular looking, a design that I could throw on top of a bottle cap or something, that would represent my logo/brand, but with just a smaller image. My hope with this one is to again just re-purpose the main design that you created (I don't want you doing extra work), just kind of isolate the end of the branch and make it work haha Now again, I don't know if I'm allowed to ask for these 5 versions now. It probably makes sense to just focus on the main "TOMKO + plum blossom" design #2 on my sticky note, run the contest, choose a winner, and then have just the winner create the 5 mini versions, which my hope is, wouldn't be much work once the main design is complete. Any questions let me know! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my design brief and submit a logo design. I really appreciate your time and energy! Cheers, Paul
