YourMicrosGirl needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 13 designs submitted by 4 freelance designers.
I am looking for an Avatar that will capture the feeling of the 'techi" but slightly sexy YourMicrosGirl along with a logo. I will use this on my web-site, on twitter, facebook, and all my printed material. I will also publicly aknowledge the winner on my twitter and facebook sites as well as recommending you to the numerious restaurant customers that I assist in getting setup on social networks. I believe spreading the word for those I do business with.
I will also need help with a web-site design so there is more work for the winner.
YourMicrosGirl
I founded YourMicrosGirl because after years of working with Micros POS customers on the corporate level, I felt there was a need for more personalized support, better training (on the web), and a need for someone to help them utlize their POS system more.
I want this avatar to resemble me (I will have photos available this week). Almost perfect is the Bailey from WKRP TV show. (see link below). Even tho I don't wear big glasses, they do a great job of capturing the 'techi" look in a fun way. She should be slightly sexy, and will need some poses to use to present products, etc.

Even tho I am in a 'tech' type business, my customer is a restaurant owner/manager who is most likely NOT tech oriented. They are in the restaurant business because they love people, wine, great food, usually are outgoing and fun-loving. So the avatar and logo should say that POS does not have to be boring and stuffy. Besides, I love to have FUN. I just also like to solve problems for people and help make their businesses more profitable.
- I like Deep Blue (Tech blue) but wonder if that is too standard. Deep Red/Dark Grey or soft earthy colors. Something to to say FUN.
- I want a classic look to the logo.
- Logo that can be used seperately from avatar if needed
- Tag line (I need one)
- No Pink or Bright Bold colors. Subdued classic colors are better.
- Nothing frilly
