CustomTileShop.com
This logo will be used on a site that sells custom, artistic tile for use in interior decorating. We'll sell wall, floor, and decorative tile from around the world. The site is currently under construction.
The products are all specialty, artistic, custom, and small batch (as opposed to those you might find in a big box store).
The stereotypical customer would be a lady from 35 - 50 years old who is looking for something special to add to their home.
We're trying to appeal to a more upscale audience; people who don't mind paying a bit more for quality and uniqueness.
Other potential customers include: contractors and designers.
Logo must be clean and sophisticated and work well on a light, or white background and should also look good both in full color, and black and white.
Since we're dealing with natural tile, the site will be designed using more earthy, natural colors. We may also include natural imagery like rocks, waterfalls, leaves, sand, shells on the site.
Some adjectives to describe our site's aesthetic:
* Artistic
* Earthy
* Environment
* Green
* Handmade
* Handpainted
* Natural
* Custom
* Specialty
No pastels.
A similar site is tileshop.com and they have a great logo, but we're looking for something a bit more exciting and artistic. We must stay away from any similarity with their logo.

Here are a few additions to our requirements:
1. We don't want to have the word 'Custom' on a separate line than 'Tile Shop.' It may sound silly, but we really must avoid any confusion with existing sites like tileshop.com.
2. We've decided that we really need to stylistically call attention to the word 'tile' in customtileshop, so it isn't read as 'custom tiles hop.' You can make this delineation in whatever way works best for your design - color, boldness, font, etc.
