henley wealth management
A female owned (40) financial services company, with design agency style branding/image. Giving advice on investments and pensions to "everyone" to achieve their goals in life, a service based business with long term relationships, so not a "grey" pinstriped suited stuffy organisation like much of the competition.
The town where my business is based is well known for being well heeled the competition has gone for very traditional branding. I want this business to be obviously different. I have left big corporate life for city firms to set it up based on what I think they are doing wrong. primarily alienating a big sector of professionals in their mid 30's - 40's especially women by being too greedy on costs (as their overheads are so high). A typical business owner in this sector is a male in 50's.So without that detail the brand should convey its different to at least arouse curiosity.
That said as peoples life savings are involved it can't look twee, girly or unprofessional. Given that wealth accumulates in later years some of my clients will also be retirees.
The town here we are based Henley-on-Thames is renowned for being a gentile English town. It is on the river and is famous for its rowing regatta. And the bridge into town.
I am looking for a really strong modern logo that can stand alone
Orange, gold (warmer yellow spectrum) rather than metallic, or softer blues
I prefer the branding styles of design agencies/marketing organisations etc as the style looks good and many financial services companies all brand generically.
I did have thoughts about the bridge with the river running gold through it (as it does in certain lights) hence examples uploaded but am not sure how to portray this, given gold is linked to wealth and warmth. But am worried that will look as if advertising a park or town.
The keystone on the bridge is interesting , given that it is a female owned business and thought could be the base of an abstract icon. I haven't found it in another logo in town.
Another idea was also the seahorse logo attached which I have liked for ages.
Also open to any thoughts other than these, have included close ups of the architecture for inspiration. Shapes that could be used )for example the oval created when the reflection of the bridge is in the water.
You can google Henley on Thames. Lots of logos based here use rowing oars so am keen to avoid those.
I quite like lowercase for modern look. Also the logo should look good in black or white, as may emboss or use as watermark at some stage and want scope to do that.
*NB logo mustn't look like a rip off of famous financial logo in UK for the Prudential - last upload*
*** I don't want to offend experienced designers but for the less so I am not interested in direct rip offs of another company logo, especially with the same name!! or clipart - the winner will only be someone who details the brief and even if its simple puts some thought and creativity into a personalised bespoke design****
