p.neuerburg got their new logo & business card by running a design contest:
Develop a Logo for a new firm which assists developing countries to achieve economic empowerment!

UPDATE: Dear designers, I am not yet very happy with the proposals received so far as they are all rather conservative. It would be great to receive some more extravagant, modern and bold proposals. Be radical! Some proposals have included a cog wheel or a growth chart in the logo and I do not really like that focus on industry. The idea to include the initials I and P in the logo is a good one and I would like more ideas with that. Also the font for the company name is too conservative and large in most proposals. It would be ok to reduce the prominence of the name a lot or even exclude it if that helps to make the logo more modern and special. PLEASE ALSO HAVE A LOOK AT THE DESIGN EXAMPLES BELOW AS I REALLY LIKE THOSE MORE UNIQUE DESIGNS!!! Our organization trains and advises developing countries to help them craft alternative economic policies. The aim of industrial policy is to have countries make more stuff themselves (rather than being dependent on imports from rich countries) so as to generate employment and economic empowerment. Our audience is government officials and development agencies.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Let designers make suggestions:
