Fintel
We are building a consumer-facing, financial web/mobile application that targets the US population between the ages of 30-60.
Our app will help you build a financial plan that makes all your dreams come true. Through data-driven intelligence, our app will allocate your money in a way that is optimal to reach your life goals. Most people make financial decisions in an ad-hoc, reactive manner. In reality, all these decisions are not disconnected from each other. How expensive of a house you buy affects which college you can send your kids to which affects when you can retire. We help put those pieces together so you can sit back and look at the big picture and then make proactive decisions so you can have everything in your life that you dream of.
Because this is a financial product, the topmost priority is for the design to exude trust and security, while still looking modern and appealing to young millennials. The website should look like we have millions (if not billions) of dollars of funding.
Secondary objectives are:
- Works for all screen sizes. We expect our app to be both desktop and mobile friendly. Neither mobile first nor desktop first, instead both should have an equal priority.
- Can be inspired by other products but should be original and not a clone of any other product.
- More visual, and light on text. The communication on the page should happen through graphics as much as possible.
- Conform to the latest and greatest design trends (minimalistic, timeless, etc.) We are not designers, so we don't have an opinion on these trends. But what we care about is the app should feel modern and appeal to demographic who is likely to follow current trends.
Oh, and please no scroll-based animations. They are amazing, but we just don't like them as much.
- A hero image with the main message. See "Tagline concepts" below for details on what could be the content here.
- Hero image should link to an explainer video.
- Area describing the top 3-4 product features (e.g.: Plan for scenarios, Invest for your goals)
- Area describing the general product principles in 4-5 sub-sections (e.g.: No conflicts of interest, Fully automated, Works with your existing wealth manager, Bank-level security)
- Options to login and signup at top and bottom of page.
- Navigation to other pages: Pricing, Terms, Privacy Policy, Help
- Section showing team members with profile pic and link to their social media profiles.
* Tagline concepts: One idea for the content on the hero image for the homepage is this.
"What if ___________________________"
We will build a financial plan that makes your dreams come true.
The ______________ rotates between various goals/dreams a typical user might have:
- What if I buy a house?
- What if I quit my job?
- What if I travel to Paris?
- What if I retire early?
- What if I send my child to private school?
See https://www.lunamik.com.au/ for an example of such an animation.
Please take this as a starting point, and feel free to explore other directions.
Thank you!
