WHAT WE NEED
- Illustration that will be adapted to be the front, back and spine of a book cover
- Illustration only in this contest
Cover drawing should be of a spaceman wearing an open face space helmet, nailed to a cross that is being carried into the air by at least four dragons, while scantily clad women and zombie women try to hold onto the bottom of the cross to catch a ride. The spaceman has only one hand nailed to the cross, while the other hand is tied to the cross at the wrist and in that hand is a space weapon/ray gun that he is shooting into the air at no particular target. The drawing of the cross should be at an angle so that the anguished face of the spaceman is visible inside his space helmet. Some of the women holding on at the bottom of the picture should be turned so that their torn garments and partially exposed breasts are visible. The spaceman is wearing on his body priests robes with an open priest collar, but those clothes are ripped away. The space helmet clear face mask is smashed or cracked. Here's what I am thinking might be done instead for better dramatic effect: spaceman's head in broken helmet in the foreground laying on cross with sexy partially dressed woman sitting on his waist with her hands on his chest trying to revive him while dragons fly in the background carrying off the cross that could be attached to ropes with moon or another planet behind the dragon. Should have the feel and look of an old Planet Comics comic book cover but even a little sexier and more violent with a sense of strong sex and violence love and romance inside the book itself.
Drawing of spaceman possibly dead in cracked space helmet lying in lap of sexy partially dressed woman like Pieta with dragon biting the head off a person dragon (like Goya's Saturn Devouring His Children) is holding in the background.
A sardonic cult fiction romance set in a depraved Sci-Fi Universe of spacemen, corrupt politicians, killer shemale and lesbian secret service agents, zombie sorority girls & dragons, along with cocaine addicted aliens, Heavy Metal rockers, and white trash baby mamas. Stylishly breaking all taboos, SPACEMAN ROMEO is a shocking allegory about the ISIS War and the perpetual battle between Church and State that Sangster Kennedy tells with a perverse cast of spacemen, dragons and zombies to the screaming guitars of Heavy Metal Rock and Roll.
PRAISE FOR SPACEMAN ROMEO’S ZOMBIE DRAGON ROMANCE
"Absolute genius! Heart pounding, palm sweating, teeth clenching stuff from a warped deranged mind! How he manages to so eloquently describe something so fucked up in such a way that the words can move someone's soul is staggering. Jack's girlfriend and her tranny lover still make me giggle. My heart was racing and I was gritting my teeth not knowing what was coming next. It's like watching your favorite characters morph into superheroes as if you were on the journey with them, connecting with them, developing an emotional attachment to them. Rips my guts apart and sends my emotions into a frenzy. How the heck does he do that?? I am sitting here, reading a pornographic sci-fi book and crying my eyes out. It makes you remember all those irrational thoughts and feelings we got when we were young and thought it was forever love." --CJ Dutton
