Eric2050 got their new icon or button by running a design contest:
Icon design for the Source Code Sync web site
Check out Eric2050's Icon or button contest…
Our software package "Source Code Sync" lets multiple programmers work on the same set of source code files at the same time.
What's your vision?
We had a web site design done a few weeks ago at https://99designs.com/web-design/contests/website-design-fast-backup-129458 We've decided to use that design for all our web sites (we are running 3 competitions all at the same time for the other 3 web sites). We've included a PSD (Photoshop) file from the last competition as a starting point. The web site will be: http://www.sourcecodesync.com 1) For this web site we need you to design a simple logo for the top left hand corner. The logo should preferably have a squarish look so that we can use it for a desktop icon if necessary. 2) Insert the product name (Source Code Sync) in a nice font. If you include a special font, we might need you to include it with your artwork. 3) Make an image for the top section where it says "Insert an appropriate image here". Our preference is that you make a nicer version of "Flow Chart 17.PSD" to indicate quickly and visually to our buyers what our product does. 4) Make 5 icons for "An Automated Compare & Merge", "Simple Conflict Resolution", "Test Sync / Undo", "Free Upgrades", "Free Trial". Each icon should have the same blue-ish tone as the existing icons.
The other 2 competitions we are running at the same time for similar work are at: https://99designs.com/icon-button-design/contests/icon-design-cashbook-complete-web-site-136046/entries https://99designs.com/icon-button-design/contests/icon-design-focus-magic-web-site-136051/entries
