publicspace.net is a Macintosh Indie Software Developer that's been around since 1996 and has published applications such as A Better Finder Rename, A Better Finder Attributes, MacBreakZ, and "The Big Mean Folder Machine", etc.
Macintosh users who are looking for GTD (Getting Things Done) and similar productivity software.
Mostly this will be content creation professionals, such as designers, photographers, web masters, etc but everyone is welcome.
I need a full size Macintosh application icon (512x512) that will double as the background for the application's assistant-style interface. This second function is the more important one.
The application itself is called "Vitamin-R" which is a colloquial name for the medicine used to control attention deficit disorder. One of its main features is to help users maintain their focus on a single task without getting sidetracked.
The current version uses an icon that was designed for another project but couldn't be used due to a last minute product name change.
The icon was intended only as a placeholder, but has now become part of the look of the interface. It is thus important that the new icon can be (pretty much) "plugged" into the existing design. A screenshot of the interface and a layered PSD to experiment with plugging your own icons into the UI are attached to the product brief.
The concept for the icon itself is to have some sort of magic pill that you can pop to suddenly be able to focus properly.
My initial thoughts are to have a single pill, gel capsule or a similar in toxic red, e.g.
but I'm open to anything that will work.
I'm looking forward to your ideas.
